2017 National Age Championships
16-23 April 2017
Chandler Aquatic Centre

The National Age Championships are the highest level of domestic competition for athletes aged 18 years and under.

Many academic institutions consider attendance at these championships as a prerequisite to attain Elite Athlete Categorization. Benefits of this categorization will differ between institutions, however it is interesting to note, entities such as QUT off “OP Bonuses” – see here as an example

Entering this meet will require members to have the following;

  1. Swimmers must have active/financial 2016/17 competitive membership with BGS
    Swimmers can register with BGS by completing the 2016/17 membership survey here
  2. Swimmer must have already achieved the relevant qualifying time (link below).

Accreditation passes provide approved personnel with access to the pool for pre-meet training and all competition sessions.

Swimming Australia will not be implementing photos on accreditation passes for this event. All entrants and purchasers of club packages will be provided with a personalised accreditation pass when they present to the accreditation desk prior to entering the venue.

Accreditation must be carried at all times during the event to allow approved personnel to access areas of the venue

BGS Swimming Coaches will be attending this meet.

Swimmers are expected to arrive at least 90mins prior to their scheduled starting time (timeline).

Swimmers are expected to make contact with one of the BGS Coaches before and after each race.
