Hiromi Barnett
State Squad
Prior to my coaching career, I was a ski instructor in Japan before I came to Australia in 1997. I started teaching swimming in 2008 as a LTS teacher, after which I attained the Swimming Australia Bronze License while working at the Indooroopilly Swimming Program. I have experience working with babies, toddlers and children in primary and secondary schools. I am a mother of two teenage boys who also enjoy a competitive level of swimming.

Swimming has become a very valuable part of my life. I hope I can pass my knowledge to younger generations and I hope the swimmers of BGS enjoy their swimming with me.

Aliesha Meagher excelled in swimming from a young age, representing Queensland on numerous occasions and receiving an Australian age champion title in Backstroke at the age of 14. Soon after completing high school she became determined in helping swimmers gain confidence and the ability to succeed at a young age.

After experiencing coaching a swim-fit program and preparing swimmers for competition in inter-school carnivals, she was enthusiastic to join the Brisbane Grammar Swimming Club in early 2018. From her years of experience as a competitive swimmer, combined with her knowledge of swim coaching, she is excited to share her passion with a new group of pupils and help them excel at the sport.

Aliesha is excited to join the team at Brisbane Grammar Swimming to help teach children the importance of sport for both fitness and social wellbeing.
