Swim Meet Results
Short Course Season has already come to an end. Brisbane Grammar Swimming Club had a very successful racing period over the 2018 Speedo Preparation Meet, BSA Short Course Championships and Queensland State Championships.

As a whole with all competitions included, the PB percentage was close to 100%.

Congratulations to all that competed at the BSA Short Course Championships, BGS is currently sitting in 3rd place in the Premier Division. With BSA Open Water just around the corner, BGS will get the opportunity to gain back some points.

Highlights from the 2018 McDonalds State Short Course Championships was to see Sophie Martin be awarded the Female Swimmer of the Meet – Well done to Sophie and her coach Hiromi Barnett.
Minna Atherton also performed well, winning the 200m Backstroke in a time that would have placed 3rd at World Championships.

Congratulations to Alexander Grant, Gabby Scudamore and Bobby Jovanovich (coach) on being selected to represent Queensland at the 2018 State Teams Championships, held in Canberra October 3rd – 5th.

We also congratulate Joe Jackson, for his performances at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships, held in Fiji. This was Joe’s first opportunity to wear the Green and Gold – making three finals and winning a Silver Medal in the 4×100 Medley Relay.
Joe has also been selected as a member of the 2018 Junior Olympic Team, traveling to Buenos Ares in October.
